This Winchester 52 Pre-A Speedlock in .22LR rifle, Serial Number 17005 (1930) was an early rifle converted to a Sporterized stock design by “Bubba” the gunsmith/stockmaker. The stock design appears to be 1950’s or 1960’s vintage work. The rifle has some nice features and some not-so-nice features. It is a solid fully functional rifle that can be carried in the woods for a vintage squirrel rifle, or would make a great project rifle for someone with skills in stock-making and refurbishment.
